Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
This is a remarkable opportunity to become part of a prominent Facilities Management organization that is experiencing substantial growth. The Health and Safety Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining health and safety standards while fostering a positive culture towards behavioral safety across various sites nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and audits in accordance with an established program across all operational regions, reporting findings and taking necessary actions.
- Investigate incidents, dangerous occurrences, health concerns, and near misses, identifying areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present statistical data related to safety performance indicators to support the development of the safety strategy.
- Provide guidance and support to both site and office personnel regarding the company's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Energy Systems and procedures.
- Plan and deliver training sessions to employees to recognized standards, assess subcontractor competence, and contribute to the development of operational procedures.
- Perform risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and create method statements, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Management System.
- Coordinate internal annual audits for health and safety, catering, contractors, security, and the Integrated Management System.
Candidate Requirements:
- Relevant Health and Safety qualification, such as IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
- Experience in a health and safety, environmental, or energy-related role within the Facilities Management or Building Services sector.
- Proven experience in delivering presentations and training sessions.
- Familiarity with health and safety, environmental, and energy management systems.
- Experience in auditing and compliance.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
Additional Requirements:
- A flexible approach to meet business and customer needs.
- Willingness to travel to various sites across the UK and ROI, with occasional overnight stays.
- Possession of a full UK driving license.
