Job Title: Power and Utilities Transactions Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Power and Utilities Transactions Manager to join our team at Anson McCade. As a key member of our Deal Advisory practice, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day delivery of specific engagements, leading internal project teams, and coordinating with external advisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver high-quality client outputs.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Stay updated with key sectors in Power & Utilities.
  • Develop sector-specific market intelligence.
  • Coach and mentor junior staff.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and risk management procedures.
  • Perform business development activities to support the growth of the utilities infrastructure business.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in financial advice, project finance, and corporate finance.
  • Proven track record of working on major projects.
  • In-depth understanding of key value drivers in projects such as policy, regulation, financing, and investments.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and modelling, including scenario modelling and risk analysis.
  • Familiarity with construction contract terms (e.g., NEC4) and alternative funding models (e.g., CfD, RAB, PPA).
  • Strong report and business case writing skills, with expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to identify and analyze key value drivers for projects.
  • Experience in investment appraisal and development/building of financial models.
  • Comfortable working with interdisciplinary teams (economics, finance, legal, engineering).
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships.
  • Demonstrated commercial awareness.
