About the Role

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our team at Green Gates Bupa Care Home. As an Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a range of activities and events that promote the physical and mental well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver morning and afternoon activity sessions, including musical acts, days out, exercise classes, and arts and crafts
  • Produce and update an activity planner for the home, working to a set activities budget
  • Support residents to participate in activities and encourage them to engage with their peers
  • Organise birthday surprises and other special events for residents
  • Liaise with external companies and performers to arrange days out and events
  • Assist with breakfast, lunch, and dinner duties as needed
  • Organise one-to-one sessions with residents, including reminiscing, puzzles, reading, and socialising
  • Update paperwork, care plans, and activity notes, and manage emails
  • Support the home with social media channels as required

Requirements

We are looking for a creative thinker with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively. You will be passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and have a sense of humour and enthusiasm for engaging with residents.
