About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Community Psychiatric Nurse to join our Crisis Community Mental Health Team in Newcastle and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality mental health care to individuals in the community.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families to promote mental health and well-being.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of team goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a valid license to practice in the UK.
  • Experience working in mental health care, preferably in a community setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Knowledge of mental health legislation and policies, including the Mental Health Act and the Care Act.
