About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Support Assistant to join our team at Coastal Housing's Extra Care developments. As an Extra Care Night Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to residents, empowering them to live independently and maintain their dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centered care and support to residents, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a seamless and effective support service.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, taking into account residents' needs and preferences.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of the support service.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of the principles of person-centered care and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and colleagues.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
