Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Swansea. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live fulfilling lives. Your primary responsibility will be to provide person-centered care, promoting the independence, dignity, and well-being of our service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Assist with community activities, outings, and social events to promote social interaction and engagement.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment, sharing knowledge and best practices to ensure high-quality care.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and expertise.

Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs (preferred but not essential).
  • Commitment to undertaking all pre-employment training and adhering to our organization's policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Valid driving license (essential for this role).
