This initiative allows you to delve into the field of education while considering your path towards Initial Teacher Training. We facilitate paid placements in educational institutions, guiding you on a journey that can lead to qualified teacher status and a transformative career. The program emphasizes hands-on experience, robust school support, and a distinctive pathway to teacher training, regardless of your academic background.

Teaching Personnel collaborates with schools in the North East to provide graduates with meaningful, compensated experiences as they consider their journey into initial teacher training. Our goal is to equip graduates with essential skills, offer stable employment for a year, and connect them with potential employers and training providers. We are dedicated to increasing the number of graduates entering the teaching profession and ensuring their successful retention throughout their training year.

Program Benefits

As a participant in the Future Educator program, you will engage in a 12-month role that equips you with vital skills for a teaching career. After the initial year, we will assist you in applying for initial teacher training through a SCITT program, often within the same school or Multi-Academy Trust. Schools and MATs appreciate the Future Educator Program as it cultivates teachers who understand their specific school culture and ethos.

Candidate Profile

While prior experience in a school setting is not essential, candidates should exhibit a genuine enthusiasm for education. A relevant undergraduate degree is required, though it need not be in Education. Positions are available year-round, with the largest intake typically occurring in September.
