As a Refuse Loader, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and environmental health of our community by ensuring the efficient collection and disposal of waste and recycling materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Waste Collection:

  • Work as part of a team to collect refuse and recycling from residential and commercial properties.

Loading:

  • Safely load waste and recycling materials into collection vehicles.

Sorting:

  • Ensure materials are sorted correctly into the appropriate sections of the vehicle.

Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Customer Interaction:

  • Provide courteous and professional service to residents and businesses.

Reporting:

  • Report any issues or incidents to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements:

Physical Fitness:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and walking long distances.

Team Player:

  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

Reliability:

  • Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.

Communication Skills:

  • Good verbal communication skills for interacting with the public and team members.

Flexibility:

  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing schedules.
