Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced midwife to join our team as a Band 7 Delivery Suite Co-Ordinator/Unit Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, safe midwifery care to women and babies during childbirth, while also leading the team and managing the workload in the community or in the unit.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based, holistic midwifery care to women and babies during childbirth
  • Lead the team and manage the workload in the community or in the unit
  • Develop and implement continuity of carer models to improve outcomes and experience for women and birthing people
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care
  • Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements
  • Registered midwife with current NMC registration
  • Evidence of ongoing education
  • Relevant experience as a band 6
  • Experience in managing a ward or equivalent area
