Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced midwife to lead our delivery suite team as a Band 7 Delivery Suite Coordinator/Unit Leader. This is an exciting opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary maternity team at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, safe midwifery care to women and babies during childbirth. They will lead the team and manage the workload in the community or in the unit, ensuring that care is evidence-based and holistic in meeting women's needs.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the delivery suite team and manage the workload in the community or in the unit.
  • Provide high-quality, safe midwifery care to women and babies during childbirth.
  • Ensure that care is evidence-based and holistic in meeting women's needs.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and communication.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Experience as a Band 6 midwife, with a strong background in midwifery practice.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of current midwifery practices and guidelines.
