About the Role
The Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI) Business Development team is a vital part of Client - Business Development, focused on driving core disciplines like investments, digital assets, and strategic partnerships. Our mission is to deliver client solutions, create new business opportunities, and shape the future of market structure and growth.
This newly formed FMI BD team will establish enterprise-wide routines for FMIs, aiming to better understand their needs and deliver higher returns.
Your Impact- Support the establishment of the financial market infrastructure program and identify new business development opportunities.
- Originate and execute innovative partnership opportunities, often within emerging business models.
- Manage external relationships with FMIs and industry partners.
- Contribute to a firm-wide framework for understanding financial infrastructure and prioritizing Citi's involvement.
- Collaborate effectively with product areas and assist in executing key priorities.
- Advocate for regulatory and governance improvements within the FMI industry, representing Citi's interests.
- Provide analytical support by identifying data trends and insights.
- Develop commercial skills across Citi's full suite of products and services, including Business Development.
- Gain exposure to high-profile global clients.
- Build and foster relationships with key internal stakeholders globally.
- Work closely with senior management.
- Thrive in a dynamic and multicultural work environment.
- Experience within banking or financial services organizations is essential.
- Familiarity with financial market infrastructures (Broker Dealers/Clearing Houses/Exchanges) is highly advantageous.
- Exposure to Markets, Payments, Custody, and/or Banking (CB /IB) is beneficial.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and the ability to operationalize strategies effectively.
- Proven experience in client coverage.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree is required.
