The Financial Market Infrastructure Business Development team at Citigroup Global Markets Limited is responsible for driving core disciplines of investments, digital assets, and strategic partnerships to deliver client solutions, create new business opportunities, and impact the direction of market structure and growth.

The team will focus on establishing the financial market infrastructure business development discipline, bringing enterprise-wide, horizontal routines to FMIs, and addressing client needs while delivering higher returns.

As an AVP, you will support efforts to establish the market structure program and advocacy to impact the direction of infrastructure growth, enabling the identification of mutual areas to develop forward-looking partnerships and business development opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the team in exploring and establishing the financial market infrastructure program and new business development opportunities
  • Originating and executing new partnership opportunities, often in emerging business models
  • Managing external relationships with FMIs and industry partners
  • Creating and implementing a framework for a firm-wide view of financial infrastructure and priorities for Citi
  • Collaborating with business partners throughout product areas and assisting with the execution of priorities
  • Providing internal support toward advocacy for regulatory and governance in the FMI industry, representing Citi's interests
  • Providing analytical support around data trends and insights

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Experience within banking or financial services organizations
  • Exposure to financial market infrastructures (Broker Dealers/Clearing Houses/Exchanges) a plus
  • Exposure to Markets, Payments, Custody, and or Banking (CB/IB)
  • Strategic thinker with proven ability to operationalize the strategy
  • Experience with client coverage
