Position Overview

This is a remarkable opportunity to become a part of Bolton Council's Strategic Commissioning Team as a Placement and Brokerage Coordinator. The primary responsibility of the Placement and Brokerage Coordinator will be to facilitate a range of searches for children and young individuals in Bolton, sourcing suitable placements based on internally vetted referrals from social work teams.

The position entails conducting thorough due diligence checks on new service providers and responding to referrals from Social Workers in a professional and constructive manner. It is essential to ensure that the quality of information provided allows for the identification of placements that align with the assessed needs of each child or young person. Establishing strong relationships with colleagues and partner organizations across various external entities and internal departments is crucial to ensure that our children and young people are matched with appropriate placements.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to guarantee that care placements adhere to the necessary national standards and regulatory frameworks, ensuring that all relevant placement-related documentation is completed following the placement agreement.

We seek a highly motivated and dynamic individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate strong relationships and effective multi-agency collaboration. A passion for the role and the capability to work efficiently in a demanding environment are essential. You should be adept at managing multiple objectives within set timelines while achieving desired outcomes.

Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities are vital, along with proficiency in IT applications such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. The ability to work independently and drive improved outcomes for the looked-after children of Bolton is a key requirement.
