Role Overview
This pivotal position is designed to enhance oversight, evaluation, and performance across the Capital Programme. It presents a significant opportunity to drive improvements through ongoing engagement with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities as a Capital Investment: Financial Performance Lead
  • Oversee the management of financial reporting related to our Capital Programme, ensuring thorough review and constructive challenge.
  • This role is essential for refining our financial reporting processes, setting the stage for success, including the rollout of our Programme Sponsorship framework.
  • Enhance performance controls and related reporting to facilitate proactive programme management, focusing on forecasting precision and fiscal responsibility.
  • Foster relationships with various teams within the organization, emphasizing cross-learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement to elevate performance.
  • Assist the business in reporting and interpreting commercial settlements for senior management.
  • The Financial Performance Lead will deliver insights on business performance relative to budget and historical periods by analyzing financial and customer trends.
Location and Work Pattern
Base Location – Hybrid working arrangement
Working Pattern – 36 hours per week

Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, engaging with colleagues at all organizational levels on diverse topics.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent).
  • Experience in a utilities or water sector organization is advantageous but not mandatory.
