Exciting Opportunity for Patient Transport Assistants at EMED Group

We are seeking dedicated individuals to enhance our service in providing essential transportation for those in need. This role involves two full-time shift patterns:

  • 37.5 hours per week - variable rota, 5 x 8 hour shifts covering Monday - Saturday
  • 38.5 hours per week - 4 days on, 4 days off - 12 hour shifts

Role Overview:

As a Patient Transport Assistant at EMED Group, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and compassionate transportation of elderly, ill, and vulnerable individuals to their medical appointments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing empathetic support during transportation
  • Establishing a trusting relationship with patients and their families
  • Assisting individuals in entering and exiting the vehicle
  • Facilitating patient transfers to appropriate healthcare personnel
  • Supporting individuals with behavioral challenges and mental health conditions
  • Maintaining a clean and organized vehicle environment
