Job Title: 2nd Line IT Support Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized 2nd Line IT Support Technician to join our team at MARS Recruitment. As a 2nd Line IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients' users, troubleshooting desktop, telephony, network, and printing errors, and investigating software issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd Line technical support to users via phone, email, or remote access
  • Troubleshoot desktop, telephony, network, and printing errors
  • Investigate software issues and provide solutions
  • Perform daily checks to ensure systems are running smoothly
  • Ensure compliance with Cyber Essential Plus and ISO 27001 policies
  • Support and install hardware, software, and mobile devices
  • Administer servers and gain insight into infrastructure-based technology

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated and organized with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and liaise with clients at all levels
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Windows 10, MS Server 2019/2022, MS Office 365, Active Directory/Entra ID & Group Policy administration, IP networking & telephony, DNS, DHCP, Server, network and desktop hardware
  • Experience with SCCM, Sophos AV & Encryption administration, Windows 11, Splashtop or other remote-control software
  • ITIL Foundation, Microsoft certifications, CompTIA A+
