Job Overview - Nuclear Safety Compliance Officer Role – Human Factors
Nuclear Safety Compliance Officers at ONR are tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including conducting site inspections, evaluating safety cases, enforcing regulatory standards, investigating incidents, and formulating strategies to uphold high industry benchmarks. This role encompasses a wide range of duties, from on-site evaluations to managing research contracts.
Successful candidates specializing in Human Factors are essential in promoting nuclear safety by understanding the impact of individual, team, and organizational performance on safety outcomes. ONR is looking for experienced professionals with a background in safety cases related to Human Factors and the capability to assess and influence safety measures within the nuclear sector.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Qualified Nuclear Safety Compliance Officers should hold a relevant degree or possess equivalent professional experience, demonstrating expertise in areas such as Human Factors integration, Human Reliability Assessment, and User Interface design. Additionally, candidates should have practical experience in the nuclear industry, along with strong teamwork, communication, and influencing abilities.
