Nuclear Safety Inspector - Human Factors

The Office for Nuclear Regulation is seeking a Nuclear Safety Inspector with expertise in Human Factors to join our team. As a Nuclear Safety Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe operation of nuclear facilities in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect nuclear facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Assess technical safety cases and provide expert advice on Human Factors
  • Enforce safety regulations and influence improvement in safety cases
  • Investigate incidents and develop strategic approaches to secure high standards in the industry
  • Manage nuclear research contracts and collaborate with stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Good honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution
  • Experience in the nuclear sector, with a focus on Human Factors
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to persuade stakeholders
  • Effective team working and communication skills
