Job Opportunity

Assistant Farm Manager

Websters Rural is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Farm Manager to join our team in Lincolnshire. As a key member of our agricultural operations, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of crop operations, working closely with our Farm Manager to ensure the smooth running of the farm and the delivery of high-quality, sustainable produce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement crop production plans to optimize yields and quality
  • Lead and manage a team of farm staff to deliver crop operations and maintenance tasks
  • Collaborate with the Farm Manager to plan and execute farm operations, including cultivations, fertiliser applications, and crop protection
  • Contribute to the development of long-term farm plans and strategies
  • Provide cover for the Farm Manager during absences and take on additional responsibilities as required

Requirements

  • Proven experience in agricultural operations, crop production, or a related field
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
