Job Summary

Websters Rural is seeking an experienced Agricultural Operations Manager to play a crucial role in the success of our farming operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing all crop operations, working closely with our Farm Manager to ensure the smooth running of the farm and the delivery of high-quality, sustainable produce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement crop production plans to optimize yields and quality
  • Direct and organize team members to deliver plans and achieve production goals
  • Manage cultivations, fertiliser applications, and other crop-related activities
  • Contribute to planning for the following season, including crop selection, soil preparation, and irrigation management
  • Deputise for the Farm Manager during absences and provide leadership to the team

Requirements

  • Proven experience in agricultural operations, with a strong background in crop production and management
  • Experience in food manufacture or vegetable supply, with a focus on sustainable practices
  • Strong numeracy skills and ability to analyze data to inform decision-making
  • Self-starting attitude and willingness to question the status quo, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Team player with flexibility and a hands-on approach, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
