About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Branch Manager to join our team at SIG plc. As a key member of our branch management team, you will play a vital role in driving sales growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage existing accounts and develop new business opportunities to drive sales growth and profitability.
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and achieve business objectives.
  • Take full responsibility for the branch in the manager's absence, ensuring continuity of service and maintaining high standards.
  • Lead by example, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and customer-centricity throughout the branch.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication, coordination, and problem-solving.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a sales or operations role, preferably in the trade or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of products and services, including SIG's offerings.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Highly organized, with a methodical approach and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in IT systems, including sales and operational tools.
  • Self-motivated, with a passion for driving business growth and improvement.
