About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Water Engineer to join our Water Design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering water and wastewater projects through all stages of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and deliver water and wastewater projects from concept to commissioning and project handover.
  • Produce engineering design, assessment, and checking work, including calculations, written reports, and contract deliverables.
  • Develop and implement project controls and monitor progress against programmes.
  • Ensure design, assessments, and checking of designs comply with current Standards, Codes of Practice, and Best Practice.
  • Build and develop a team of engineers, assisting their progression to Chartered status.
  • Coordinate work undertaken by external sub-contractors and design checkers.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through project work.
  • Assist with the preparation of Water & Wastewater bids and tenders.

We are looking for a collaborative individual who is eager to work with colleagues, partners, and customers. You will have achieved Chartered Engineer status and have a Water/wastewater design engineering background, working within multi-disciplinary teams. You will also have experience in coordinating project teams, supervising project delivery, and developing a team of engineers.
