Chef for Children's Home

We are seeking an experienced and creative Cook to join our team at the Oakdene Children's Home. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in designing menus that meet the dietary needs of our children and young people with learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare healthy and nutritious meals for our residents
- Manage kitchen operations, including stock taking and ordering
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
- Work collaboratively with our care team to meet the dietary needs of our residents
Requirements:
- Proven experience of working in a kitchen environment, preferably with children or young people
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
- Ability to manage your own workload and use your initiative
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with children and young people with learning difficulties
