The RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our team as a Trainee Manager. This 12-month development programme will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of operational, service, and leadership standards, setting you up for future success as a Store Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Drive Store Performance: Maximise sales opportunities and optimise KPI performance by identifying focus areas and building plans to improve them and exceed targets.
- Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Provide market-leading customer service to drive business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
- Develop Wine Knowledge: Demonstrate and share your passion for product with customers through in-depth knowledge of our range, managing tasting events, and executing an enticing and commercially savvy tasting counter.
- Take Ownership: Take accountability and pride in the physical appearance and maintenance of your store, both internally and externally.
- Operational Tasks: Involvement in all operational tasks to establish a thorough understanding of the day-to-day operations of running a Majestic Wine store.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to make improvements that will optimise the operational running of the store.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure you remain fully compliant, safe, and legal by following internal policies, processes, and completing mandatory training.
- Personal Development: Take ownership of your own development, utilising the support and resources available.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Be an example of Majestic's Ways of Working and a source of support for more junior team members, feeding back to your Store Manager as appropriate.
- Experience of working as part of a team in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service to every single customer.
- Prioritisation and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
- Self-motivation, ability to thrive when working alone and as part of a team.
- Can-do attitude with a passion for seeing problems through to solutions.
- Adaptability and resilience to meet the ever-changing demands of our business.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Wine knowledge is beneficial, but passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 and 3 WSET wine qualifications.
- Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
