Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Clinical Trials Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of clinical trials and assisting in the setup of logistics for trials across various clinical specialties.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and promote Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) to ensure the safety of medicinal products, patients, and staff.
  • Support the pharmacy clinical trials manager and senior pharmacy technicians in clinical trials and aseptics.
  • Contribute to the development of technical expertise and skill mix to set up more complex advanced therapy trials.
  • Coordinate the workflow for early-phase portfolios and bespoke clinical trials.
  • Ensure adverse occurrences are recorded and reported through the Trust's incident reporting system in a timely manner.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • NVQ3, BTEC in pharmaceutical science or equivalent, plus additional training for checking dispensed prescriptions or products.
  • GPhC registration.

Desirable Criteria

  • Aseptic or production specialist training courses.
  • Good Clinical Practice.
