About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Pharmacy Clinical Trials & Aseptic team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of clinical trials and assisting in the setup of logistics for trials across various clinical specialties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and promote Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) to ensure the safety of medicinal products, patients, and staff.
  • Support the pharmacy clinical trials manager and senior pharmacy technicians in clinical trials & aseptics.
  • Contribute to the development of technical expertise and skill mix to set up more complex advanced therapy trials at the trust.
  • Coordinate the workflow for early phase portfolios and bespoke clinical trials, requiring up-to-date knowledge of aseptics.
  • Ensure adverse occurrences are recorded and reported through the Trust's incident reporting system in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • NVQ3, BTEC in pharmaceutical science or equivalent, plus additional training for checking dispensed prescriptions or products.
  • GPhC registration.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical technical procedures, Good Manufacturing Practice, Good Clinical Practice, and regulations surrounding pharmaceutical manufacture.
