About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Fernbank Surgery. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of medicines management to our practice population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Clinical Pharmacist in the delivery of the new Clinical Pharmacy in General Practice model
  • Conduct medication use reviews and provide training to practice-based prescribing clerks and administrators
  • Contribute to the review and development of repeat prescribing protocols to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Liaise with other pharmacy stakeholders, including Medicines Optimisation team, community pharmacy, and hospital pharmacy teams
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information, and record, transfer, and coordinate such information in accordance with the Data Protection Act and Caldecott Guidelines
Requirements
  • Current GPhC registration
  • BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences
  • Experience of working as a qualified, registered pharmacy technician in primary care, or in hospital or community pharmacy at a senior level
