About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Programming Assistant to join our team at the Children's Country House. As a key member of our programming team, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and relevant learning experiences for our visitors.

As a Programming Assistant, you will work closely with our Senior Programming and Participation Officer to develop and deliver creative programming initiatives that meet the needs of our diverse audience. You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering learning visits from schools, home education groups, and other learning providers, as well as contributing to the development of wider programming initiatives.

You will be a team player with excellent communication skills, able to build relationships with a wide range of people. You will be adaptable, flexible, and able to manage your time effectively. You will also be keen to learn new things and be well-organized.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and coordinate learning visits from schools, home education groups, and other learning providers
  • Contribute to the development of wider programming initiatives, including baseline programming for visitors
  • Work closely with the Senior Programming and Participation Officer to develop and deliver creative programming initiatives
  • Ensure that all necessary administrative tasks are up-to-date and completed, including access needs and health and safety compliance
  • Champion best practice approaches to safeguarding in everything we do
  • Support the wider operational team during open days
