About the Role
Lakeside Healthcare Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Practice Nurse to join our team. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality primary care services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, including health assessments, vaccinations, and treatments.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to promote integrated pathways of care and improve patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement health promotion activities to educate patients on healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
- Conduct initial assessments of patients presenting with wounds and manage independently or refer to other services as necessary.
- Administer medications by injection with appropriate legal authorization.
- Recognize health promotion opportunities and provide brief, focused lifestyle advice using motivational interviewing techniques.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with NMC 1st level Registration.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Experience of working within healthcare governance systems and understanding role and responsibilities for CQC and within risk management.
- Experience of using clinical systems and Microsoft Office software.
