Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to enhance our dynamic technology team. In this role, you will engage in diverse projects and play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability of our IT infrastructure and services across the organization. You will collaborate closely with our Systems & Infrastructure Manager to ensure a solid succession plan and knowledge-sharing framework is established.

Responsibilities of the Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Next 15:

  • Design, implement, and sustain our system infrastructure, ensuring efficient and secure operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve system issues, including troubleshooting hardware and software faults, as well as addressing technical and application-related challenges.
  • Monitor system performance to guarantee high availability and security, which involves conducting regular audits, managing system backups, and overseeing user access controls.
  • Lead system-related initiatives, including planning, coordinating team efforts, setting deadlines, and ensuring timely and budget-compliant project completion.
  • Provide technical mentorship and support to the team by training junior personnel, making informed decisions regarding system upgrades and enhancements, and staying updated with the latest technologies and industry developments.
  • Document all processes and system configurations, creating comprehensive guidelines and manuals for the organization.
  • Engage with vendors and suppliers, negotiating and managing contracts for hardware, software, and other IT services.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery strategies, including data backup and recovery protocols.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Proficiency in managing and maintaining various operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
  • Experience in managing and supporting Microsoft 365 SharePoint, with a proven record of user collaboration and regular maintenance tasks.
  • Understanding of network architecture, protocols, and security, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and other networking technologies.
  • Experience with database administration, SQL queries, and database security measures.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of information security principles and best practices to safeguard our IT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and integrations with GitHub (CI/CD).
