About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Immunotherapy Clinical Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, contributing to the development and delivery of high-quality care for patients with cancer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines for the management of patients on immunotherapy.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and reduce hospital admissions.
  • Provide expert advice and support to healthcare professionals on the safe and effective use of immunotherapy.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new pathways and protocols for the management of patients with cancer.
  • Lead and support the Acute Oncology CNS teams across all four sites, providing specialist clinical advice and guidance.
  • Develop and implement changes to policies and guidelines in the specialist field of practice.
  • Work collaboratively with Cancer Networks to advance the acute oncology agenda.
  • Initiate and lead the audit agenda in IO/AO.
Person Specification

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's in nursing including advanced clinical practice skill set.
  • Experience in cancer nursing and SACT.
  • Cancer or Oncology/Haematology Nursing Pathway or equivalent.
  • Teaching, assessing, and presentation skills.
  • Change management and negotiating skills.

Desirable:

  • Teaching experience.
  • Evidence of quality improvement initiative.
  • Leadership qualification.
