Job Overview

An exceptional opportunity awaits for an Intune Subject Matter Expert to join our Cloud Infrastructure & Security services division. Cognizant Infrastructure Services delivers IT infrastructure and Cloud solutions for clients across various sectors, encompassing both Consulting/Professional and Managed Services, including Enterprise Computing, Cloud services, Security Services, DevOps, Data Centres, End User Computing, Service Desk, Network Services, and Environment Management Services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an Intune specialist, providing engineering-level expertise in the development of Autopilot and Windows 11, along with other Intune-related engineering tasks.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for MDM (Modern Device Management) technologies, which include Endpoint Management Tools such as Intune (Autopilot) and SCCM (CMG, Co-Management) within an Enterprise PC setting.
  • Administer and maintain Windows 10/11 systems, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of the registry, file system, processes, services, and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with the technical lead to comprehend and prioritize project activities.
  • Execute assigned tasks to a high standard, ensuring thorough documentation and testing.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Partner with the OCM team to create training materials and other resources to support operational activities.
  • Conduct training sessions for local IT teams and users on the effective use of Autopilot.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage internet browser settings, security, and configurations.
  • Oversee the deployment, administration, and maintenance of disk encryption using BitLocker.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven expertise as an Intune specialist with engineering-level proficiency in Autopilot and Windows 11 development, alongside other Intune-related engineering functions.
  • Experience with MDM technologies, including Endpoint Management Tools like Intune (Autopilot) and SCCM (CMG, Co-Management) in an Enterprise PC environment.
  • Background in lead or senior engineering roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows 10/11 system administration and maintenance, with a strong understanding of the registry, file system, processes, services, and security.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory & Azure AD (Hybrid).
  • Expertise in end-user computing hardware.
  • Ability to strategize for future needs and design effective technical solutions.
  • Capability to provide transparency into the operations and health of the end-user computing environment through defined reporting.
  • Advanced knowledge of scripting languages (VBS, PowerShell, WMI).
  • Expertise in internet browser management, security, and configuration.
  • Experience in deploying, administering, and maintaining disk encryption using BitLocker.
  • Certification in Modern Desktop Management, SCCM/Intune, Azure, or any relevant cloud certifications.
