About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Custody Nurse to join our team at HCRG Care Group. As a Custody Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare to individuals detained by the police or other agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake comprehensive clinical assessments and provide care to individuals detained by the police or other agencies.
  • Provide healthcare interventions to manage minor illness or injury and refer onwards for more serious conditions.
  • Undertake forensic examination of individuals in police care to record and collect DNA evidence.
  • Support the clinical governance agenda of the organisation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • 2 years' minimum experience as a nurse.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of forensic examination and DNA collection procedures.
