Lewisham Dementia Activities Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dementia Support Coordinator to join our team at Age UK Lewisham and Southwark. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering arts and crafts, physical exercise, and singing groups for people with dementia in Lewisham.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver engaging arts and crafts, physical exercise, and singing groups for people with dementia in Lewisham.
- Work closely with our volunteers, freelance workers, and community partners to ensure the successful delivery of our programmes.
- Provide support and guidance to individuals with dementia and their carers to enable them to participate fully in our activities.
- Collaborate with our team to develop and implement new programme ideas and initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of our programme evaluation and monitoring systems.
- Good understanding of the needs and issues affecting older people, including dementia awareness.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
- Knowledge of arts and crafts, physical exercise, and singing group delivery, with experience of working with people with dementia.
- Ability to travel within Southwark and Lewisham, with a valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
- 26 days annual leave + bank holidays (pro rata)
