About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dementia Activities Coordinator to join our team at Age UK Lewisham and Southwark. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering arts and crafts, physical exercise, and singing groups for people with dementia in Lewisham.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver arts and crafts, physical exercise, and singing groups for people with dementia in Lewisham
  • Work collaboratively with our volunteers, freelance workers, and community partners to deliver the programme
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups and organizations to promote the programme
  • Contribute to the development of new programme ideas and initiatives
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the programme
Requirements
  • Good understanding of the needs and issues affecting older people, including dementia awareness
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to travel within Southwark and Lewisham
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances
