Role Overview

In response to a comprehensive evaluation of our Student Support Services, we have initiated the establishment of new Student Support Hubs across our academic faculties. We are in search of a dedicated Student Support Officer to facilitate the implementation of our ambitious strategy aimed at enhancing the student experience and providing academic assistance within the Faculty of Science. These hubs will serve as essential contact points for students, offering guidance and support to those facing challenges in their academic journey, ensuring they receive timely and consistent advice to foster their success.

The successful candidate will work closely with students in various academic departments, collaborating with Learning and Teaching teams and academic staff to proactively identify students who may require additional support. The role also involves advising both staff and students on university regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as wellbeing support mechanisms.

This position offers a clear pathway for career advancement within the student support framework, along with specific training and development opportunities.

Typical Responsibilities

Service Delivery
