The Clinical Support Officer - Targeted Lung Health Check role is a vital part of our team, providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the ward. As a key point of contact, you will be responsible for welcoming patients, relatives, and visitors, and dealing with queries related to admission, discharge, and other ward services.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide exceptional customer care, demonstrating a caring and responsive approach to those attending the unit and the staff within.
* Act as a first point of contact for patients, relatives, and visiting staff, answering queries and providing information on admission, discharge, visiting times, contact numbers, and parking.
* Communicate and liaise with internal and external organisations, such as pre-assessment and surgical administration teams.
* Liaise with other departments and Medical Records to obtain patient notes in a timely manner ahead of admissions.
* Book and track medical notes on the EPR system, ensuring all patients have relevant paperwork and forms attached to their notes.
* File documentation relating to admission, surgery, and discharge in patient notes upon discharge from the unit.
* Maintain an organised and up-to-date filing system of notes, ensuring that all medical records are in order before leaving the ward.
