About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Clinical Support Worker to join our team in the Gastrointestinal Physiology and Pelvic Floor Services Department at the Churchill Hospital. As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the clinical team in delivering exceptional services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with preparation for tests and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and records as required, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff, providing clear and concise information and support as needed.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the department, including maintaining a clean and organized environment, and assisting with administrative tasks as required.
  • Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
Requirements
  • Healthcare experience in a clinical environment, with a focus on patient care and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Basic IT skills, with the ability to use electronic patient records and other clinical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the department.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
