The Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Peripatetic Recovery Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals struggling with addiction, with a focus on harm minimization and community-based treatment.
Main Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' psychological, emotional, and social needs, developing personalized care plans and evaluating their effectiveness.
- Provide duty assessments to new clients, utilizing harm reduction approaches and motivational interviewing techniques to engage individuals in treatment.
- Manage a defined caseload of clients with low to medium complexity, delivering direct clinical care and case management under the supervision of a designated senior professional.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective service delivery.
- Education to diploma level or NVQ level 4, or registered nurse or other registered healthcare professional.
- Post-registration experience and practical skills in providing high-quality care.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and demonstrate personal and professional development in substance misuse settings.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and prioritize workload effectively.
- Knowledge of mental health and substance misuse services, with a commitment to harm minimization and community-based treatment.
- Harm reduction training and motivational interviewing/relapse management training.
- Post-registration substance misuse qualifications and degree.
- Previous experience within an NHS or local authority setting, with a focus on community-based care.
- Leadership skills, problem-solving skills, stress management skills, and conflict resolution skills.
