About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team at HMP Leicester. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide evidence-based interventions and support patients in achieving their goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and carers to ensure seamless care coordination and support.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Qualified Mental Health Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Experience working with patients with complex mental health needs, including those with a history of trauma or substance misuse.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of psychosocial interventions, group work, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
