Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at a prestigious private hospital in Wellingborough, specializing in neurological rehabilitation. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with mental health conditions, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Mental Health Assessments: Conduct thorough mental health assessments and evaluations to identify patients' needs and develop effective care plans.
  2. Care Planning: Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans to ensure patients receive the best possible care.
  3. Medication Administration: Administer medications and monitor their effects to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  4. Patient Support: Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families to promote mental health awareness and understanding.
  5. Emergency Response: Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed to ensure patient safety.
  6. Clinical Duties
  7. Progress Monitoring: Monitor patients' progress and report any changes to the medical team to ensure effective care.
  8. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records to ensure continuity of care.
  9. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
  10. Ward Rounds: Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure effective communication and care coordination.
  11. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and hospital policies to maintain a safe and effective care environment.

  13. Mental Health Awareness: Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options to promote mental health awareness and understanding.
  14. Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients' needs and promote their rights to ensure they receive the best possible care.
  15. Mentorship: Provide mentorship and support to junior nursing staff and nursing students to promote professional development and growth.

Qualifications
  1. Education: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification.
  2. Licensure: Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
  3. Experience: Previous experience in a mental health setting is essential.
