Mental Health Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Temporary Mental Health Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients with mental health conditions at a prestigious private hospital in Wellingborough.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and evaluations to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and monitor their effects, while providing support and counseling to patients and their families.
- Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed, working closely with a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and hospital policies, promoting mental health awareness and advocating for patients' needs.
- Education: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification.
- Licensure: Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
- Experience: Previous experience in a mental health setting is essential, with strong clinical and assessment skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Hours: Flexible hours, may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Environment: Hospital setting with exposure to patients with various mental health conditions.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving patients, and standing for long periods.
