Job Title: Patient Transfer Service Driver

We are seeking a skilled Patient Transfer Service Driver to join our team at NISI. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients between locations in specially equipped vehicles, ensuring their comfort and dignity throughout the journey.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Safe Patient Transfer: Transport patients between locations, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Medical Care During Transport: Monitor patients' conditions and provide emergency medical care if necessary, including basic life support, oxygen administration, and airway management.
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct initial assessments prior to transport, noting any medical conditions or mobility issues that require special attention.
  • Coordination with Medical Teams: Communicate effectively with hospital staff, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals, providing thorough handover reports upon arrival.
  • Documentation: Complete accurate patient transfer records, including documenting medical observations, treatment given, and any incidents during transport.
  • Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that the transport vehicle and medical equipment are clean, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Requirements:
  • FREC Level 3 qualification
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Basic Life Support certificate
  • Care certificates
  • Experience as a driver
