  • Financial management expertise in budget oversight and monitoring
  • Capacity to handle a varied workload while meeting deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently and collaboratively lead and implement all aspects of project and contract management within multi-million-pound budgets, adhering to specified quality standards and timelines.
  • Manage project and contract risks by maintaining risk registers, cost trackers, payment processes, and documentation, taking necessary actions as part of the risk management strategy.
  • Prepare and deliver reports for senior management, including the Development Manager, Head of Service, and Director, and present project status updates at relevant governance meetings.
  • Lead communication and engagement efforts to foster positive relationships with local stakeholders, including politicians, community councils, project partners, statutory bodies, and contractors.
  • Play a pivotal role in the Council's procurement processes, overseeing the tendering and commissioning of new build consultancy and contracts.
  • Conduct financial and design viability assessments, optimize access to grant funding, and ensure projects meet statutory design and regulatory standards while remaining financially viable.
