As a Community Support Specialist, you will work directly with individuals, facilitating transformative changes in their perspectives and behaviors while linking them to essential support services. You will collaborate with local organizations at various pilot locations to develop tailored intervention strategies that address specific challenges and vulnerabilities. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in raising awareness regarding the effects of abusive behaviors.

Key Responsibilities –

  • Incorporate the Community Support role into coordinated, multi-agency responses to domestic violence in the region.
  • Work closely with other professionals to ensure effective risk management and safeguarding practices.
  • Engage in monthly case management discussions with the Service Manager or Team Leader.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate case files and records in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
  • Exhibit proficiency in making sound decisions, documenting them appropriately, and being accountable for those choices.

Qualifications –

  • Valid UK Driving License.
  • Experience in addressing domestic abuse issues.
  • Ability to communicate and present information effectively to a diverse audience, both formally and informally.
  • Experience working within a multi-agency public protection and safeguarding framework, such as child protection or vulnerable adults.
  • Possession of a relevant degree, vocational qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Salary - £25,000 - £30,000
