Data Governance Specialist

Axiom Software Solutions Limited is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the Data Governance Framework, ensuring compliance with UK GDPR and DPA regulations.
  • Work closely with Business Areas to develop and maintain the Contracting Authority's Data Strategy.
  • Chair/attend Data Governance forums and working groups to ensure clear accountabilities and audit trails.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes in line with industry best practices.
  • Produce effective communications and publicity materials to inform and engage stakeholders.
  • Define and develop indicators of Data Governance performance and quality metrics.
  • Act as the subject matter expert and point of contact for Business Areas.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of data-related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends.
  • Experience in large-scale Data Governance/management.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills to promote and embed a Data Governance Framework.
  • Demonstrable experience of building and supporting a data stewardship network.
