About the Role

Vermelorpo is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to lead the development and delivery of pricing governance processes and controls. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring fair outcomes for customers and reducing risk while driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Governance Processes: Design and implement effective governance processes and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  2. Lead Pricing Governance Team: Manage and motivate a team of pricing governance professionals to achieve business objectives and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  3. Regulatory Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of regulations affecting pricing and ensure that pricing strategies result in fair customer outcomes.
  4. Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain robust pricing governance reporting to inform business decisions and drive growth.
  5. Staying Ahead of the Curve: Continuously evaluate methodologies and identify opportunities to improve governance frameworks and processes.
  6. Data Governance: Ensure that the utilization of new data is subject to adequate governance controls.
  7. Commercial Acumen: Demonstrate a strong understanding of Markerstudy's strategy and commercial delivery.
  8. Process Management: Effectively manage processes that require inputs from multiple areas.
Requirements
  1. Strong Analytical Skills: Possess a strong awareness of analytical concepts and the ability to apply them in a business context.
  2. Insurance Industry Experience: Significant experience working in the insurance industry, with a deep understanding of regulations and pricing strategies.
  3. Regulatory Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of regulations affecting pricing and a proven track record of developing and implementing governance controls.
  4. Technical Skills: Familiarity with applications used in the team, including Emblem, Radar, SAS, SQL, R, Python, and machine learning.
  5. Business Acumen: A strong understanding of pricing and business strategies, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to senior management.
  6. Leadership Skills: Experience of developing and/or managing others, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
  7. Communication Skills: Confidence in presenting technical and non-technical information to clients and colleagues, with the ability to communicate at senior management level.
