Role Summary:

The Senior Cloud Security Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role within the Cloud Security Team, tasked with ensuring the secure design and implementation of cloud solutions tailored to engineering teams' requirements. This position demands a security expert who will provide technical leadership and foster a culture of continuous security practices across cloud infrastructures and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical direction and mentorship to engineering teams, promoting the development of high-quality solutions that serve multiple business lines.
  • Engage with senior management and stakeholders, offering clear insights on cloud security objectives and assisting in achieving tactical goals aligned with strategic initiatives.
  • Design innovative solutions to enhance cloud security and automate the enforcement of security standards.
  • Collaborate with application architects and analytics teams to drive the adoption of cloud infrastructure and engineering best practices.
  • Provide support throughout the solution lifecycle, assisting scrum teams and stakeholders.
  • Participate in workshops and discussions with architecture teams to address potential risks and concerns.
  • Guide teams in adhering to organizational processes and compliance standards.
  • Recommend and implement best practices for cloud security utilizing tools such as AWS IAM, Security Hub, and GuardDuty.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, security guidelines, and reference architectures, while promoting cloud technologies.
  • Advocate for the needs of country units to enhance the Cloud Security roadmap.
  • Champion secure application development principles and respond effectively to emerging challenges.
  • Mentor junior staff, providing constructive feedback and fostering professional growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments as a technical lead.
  • Expertise in cloud computing technologies and security challenges.
  • Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud migration best practices.
  • Strong technical writing skills for documenting processes and security protocols.
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance standards such as PCI DSS, SOC-1&2, ISO 27001, and NIST.
  • Experience in risk management and IT compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in continuous security practices, including threat modeling and secure development pipelines.
  • Experience with security solutions such as WAF and anti-DDoS systems.
  • Knowledge of encryption practices and security event management.
  • Background in infrastructure automation and deployment technologies.
  • Programming experience in languages such as C++, Java, or Python.

Certifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
  • Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc.).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
