Position Summary:

The Senior Cloud Security Architect is a pivotal role within the Cloud Security Team, tasked with ensuring the secure architecture and implementation of Cloud solutions tailored to the needs of engineering teams. This position involves providing expert guidance and fostering a culture of continuous security practices across Cloud infrastructures and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions that serve multiple business lines, driving the team towards optimal design outcomes. Engage with senior management and stakeholders, offering clear direction on Cloud security objectives and assisting in the achievement of strategic goals. Design and implement solutions that enhance Cloud Security, focusing on automated enforcement of security standards and protocols. Collaborate with application architects and analytics teams to promote the adoption of Cloud Infrastructure and engineering best practices. Provide ongoing support throughout the solution lifecycle, assisting scrum teams and stakeholders as needed. Participate in workshops and discussions with architecture teams to address risks and concerns related to end-to-end solutions. Ensure compliance with organizational processes through effective coaching and guidance. Recommend and apply best practices for Cloud security, utilizing tools such as AWS IAM, Security Hub, and GuardDuty. Contribute to the development of security documentation, technical content, and reference architectures, promoting Cloud technology and practices. Advocate for the needs of country units to inform the Cloud Security roadmap and feature development. Champion secure application development principles and respond swiftly to mitigate risks and challenges. Mentor junior staff, providing constructive feedback and fostering professional growth within the team.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in an Agile/Scrum/Kanban environment, serving as a technical lead. Expertise in Cloud computing technologies and security challenges. Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and industry standards for Cloud migration. Strong technical writing skills for documenting environments and security protocols. In-depth knowledge of compliance and security standards, including PCI DSS, SOC-1&2, ISO 27001, and NIST. Extensive experience in risk management and IT compliance requirements. Experience with continuous security practices, including threat modeling and secure development pipelines. Familiarity with security solutions such as WAF and IPS. Knowledge of encryption practices and security event management. Experience with infrastructure automation and continuous delivery technologies. Background in programming with at least one language such as C++, Java, or Python.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate One of the following: CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISO27001 LA/LI, SANS One of the following: PMP, ISC2 CCSP
