Job Summary:
Vertical Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the Nuclear Sector. As a key member of our Cost and Project Management team, you will be responsible for preparing tender and contract documents, undertaking cost analysis, and advising on procurement strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tender and contract documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify areas of cost savings and optimize project budgets.
- Collaborate with clients to establish project requirements and undertake feasibility studies to inform project decisions.
- Perform risk, value management, and cost control to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Advise clients on procurement strategy and negotiate contracts to secure the best possible terms.
- Analyze costings of tender returns to ensure accuracy and fairness.
- Provide expert advice on contractual claims and disputes to ensure client interests are protected.
- Prepare detailed progress reports to keep clients informed of project status and milestones.
- Value completed work and advise clients on payments to be made.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a consultancy, client, or contractor environment.
- Currently working towards MRICS or relevant professional body certification.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Extensive experience with NEC and contract administration.
- Flexible in relation to travel and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
